Admission
Complete a SPICA Application Form for the desired institute from our list of institutes we represent for International Students. Our dedicated staff member would assist you in filing out the form and would answer all your queries. You will also need to supply the following supporting documents along with your application form:
- educational certificates and academic records
- evidence of employment history (if applicable)
- references from employers (if applicable)
- passport sized photograph; and
- English language test results of International English Language Testing Systems – IELTS, (if applicable)
You should also supply:
- copy of passport and current visa if available.
- You must provide all of the documentation needed to support your application (certified or notarised copies). This is required by DIAC and SPICA to ensure that your application is processed promptly.
SPICA staff will assess your application and submit your application to the relevant University / TAFE /College. You will be issued with an “Offer Letter”. This may be a conditional offer made on the basis that you meet certain conditions or requirements. Before the expiry date of the offer you should:
- you must pay the tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) as stated on your offer of place as soon as possible. Our staff will advise you about this.
- OSHC is a mandatory insurance which all the international students have to take before the commencement of the studies.OSHC is not directly issued to the student until he or she arrives in Australia for the commencement of the course. For more information please read Step Six
- you must read the Terms and Conditions of your institute of Study forms and then sign and return, so as to accept the place offered to you, and
- send the required documentation to show that conditions have been met (if your offer is conditional).
SPICA will assist you:
- in getting the receipt for your payment
- in getting the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), for International Students form (if you meet all conditions). The CoE is a mandatory document required for your visa processing as it confirms your enrolment in a particular institute.
- in advising about the commencemet and orientation date.
You will have to apply to the Australian Embassy/Consulate/High Commission in your country. SPICA will assist you in lodgement of your student visa application. Your application must have attached:
- receipt from your institute
- confirmation of enrolment (CoE) for International Students
- offer of place
- all previous educational documents
- English Proficiancy (e.g IELTS)
- results of your X-ray and Medical Examinations
- financial documents
Once the visa is granted you will have to make your travel plans accordingly so that you can arrive on time and attend the orientation program. Please advise / contact SPICA staff if you are unable to attend the orientation program offered by your insitute.
On your arrival in Australia, please contact the SPICA headoffice and advise about your location. SPICA will endeavour to assist you in all possible ways and make you welcome in a new country.
